Sense of place.
 Natural light of our region sublimes the forms and the whiteness of the “Tuffeau” stones. The stables will therefore restitute the brightness, outside as well as inside. The quality of our stones is to give back at night the heat that has been absorbed during the day, providing a natural and ecological air conditioning system. |
| But this place is mainly an area where memories are still alive, coming from those who have lived or worked there in the past centuries. First the horses, as they were used for working and travelling. Work of the earth for wineyards and fields. Horses were used for hunting runs, or for races, as for “Belize”, the powerfull “Cob Norman” who was used for both riding and working, Or “Narcisse” who has been the tireless hunting companion of Count “de Monteynard” through the forests of the region. |
| Then there are the men who lived and worked in this place and left their footprints, as the carpenters who assembled the roof made of poplar, and signed each piece, as the lads who slept near to the horses taking care of them, as the driver at the beginning of the 19th century who noted kilometers ran by the "Hotchkiss" on the wall near the door of the stables. This place is alive, reminding the rumour of that near past when any days where rythemed By the horses iron’s noise on the ground. Nice smells at summer time rising up to the air. All that laughs and voices are still trusting the souls. Remembering harvesters pulling up the hay at the attics in the warm evenings, just before having their reward, down to the cellar with a glass of fresh fruity pink wine, they held; just like a jewel discovered in a barrel… |
| Gentlemen riders are realy demanding whith look and dressing, and this place is a hyphen between this fine tradition and the quality of life you are looking for. “Belize”, “Narcisse”, “Lads”, “Mr Victor” are waiting you for a good story to write on the sides of the “Vienne” river,… that of your holidays. |
